About Becs

Hi, I’m Becs—an Ayurvedic Lifestyle Coach, Health Coach, Rehabilitation Coach, Yoga Teacher, and Meditation Guide based in Gisborne, New Zealand, where I live with my husband, Phil, and our daughter, Naia.

My journey to well-being began with a deep personal healing process, which led me to explore Ayurveda in 2014. By embracing its practices, I experienced a profound shift in my health, energy, and happiness. This transformation inspired me to share these life-changing tools with others.

With a holistic approach that blends the ancient wisdom of Yoga and Ayurveda with modern science, I guide people towards vibrant health and a balanced, heart-centered life. Whether through yoga, meditation, breathwork, or Ayurveda, my aim is to help you create lasting, life-affirming habits that align with both your body and the world around you.

I’ve been teaching yoga and meditation since 2008, and I hold certifications in Yoga Teacher Training (500hr RYT), Yoga Nidra Levels 1 & 2, and P.L.A.Y Children’s Teacher Training. In 2019, I became a certified Ayurveda & Yoga Health Coach with Yoga Healer International.

My mission is to support you in becoming the best version of yourself—on and off the mat.

About
Heart Space

Within each of us lies a heart space, an infinite space held in the chest yet not contained by it. The ancient yogis called this hridayakasha, the ‘cave of the heart’—the home of your true self.

It’s believed that within this cave is a light, like a candle flame. When we are at peace, living in harmony with our true nature, this light burns steadily.

Namaste, a Sanskrit greeting, means “the light within me sees and honours the light within you.” This light resides in our heart space.

In today’s fast-paced world, it’s easy to become disconnected from our hearts and trapped in our heads. Yet, we can only meet these transformative times by slowing down and reconnecting with our heart.

By tuning into our emotions and how we truly feel, we can cultivate kindness, compassion, and a deep sense of well-being—both for ourselves and others.

Heart Space is about recognising the light and potential within, reconnecting with our true nature and innate wisdom to learn, grow, and share for the benefit of all.

What people say

  • Adele Holmes

    Yoga Teacher

“Learning and now embedding the principles studied through Good Change has not only seen me start to build some great habits, they are now becoming symbiotic to both my personal yoga practice and my yoga teaching – bringing to life the ayurvedic theory we touched on in teachers Training). Becs is a fabulous coach, and has built a beautiful community of humans at all stages of life who come together to learn.”

  • Bridget Scully

“Good Change has been life changing, but as my tutor says when describing how to make change… ‘in the most underwhelming way’. This course has been a great tool for my belt and works in beautifully with my mission to live more sustainably in ALL that I do. Not just the garden, or the food but equally my energy levels and the daily grind kinda stuff.”

  • Shirley Keown

“An opportunity to try something a little different and challenging, in a totally safe environment. Keep an open mind – give things a go – surrounded by like minded people – with no expectations – its ok if it doesn’t happen or resonate for you – or you don’t understand – you have permission to seek clarity if not in the group – individually – its ok to ask – its learning about yourself and others.”

  • Kylla Petersen

“The impact of Good Change has been so obvious on me that even my husband is now participating in many of the habits. Becs is a great coach and has so much knowledge to share – in an absolute trusted and empathetic way, stepping you through the course. The outcome for me has been a deeper understanding of the “why” and the “how” to live a more relaxed, healthier and content version of my life.”

  • Michele Franks

    Pilates Teacher

“I came in wanting some positive changes with my skin inflammation & to improve my mental state as I had feelings of depression & plenty of negative chatter. I wanted a better work/life balance. Participating in the 12 week Good Change program 3 times has changed my life. I have learned habits that are part of my lifestyle that give me more calm & ease.”
